The Man I Love Is In Jail

Dear Lady. Ann:

I’m a young woman seeking prayer. The guy whom I’ve been in love with nearly my whole life is incarcerated, and for a very long time he struggled with some abandonment issues and anger issues due to his up bringing and some generational curse. Lately over the past few months we’ve come back into contact (we never dated, the timing was never right) he calls and we write each other. He doesn’t give jail talk, he talks the same way he did when he was out, but it’s something about him that calms me and outside of the peace that Gods gives me, this young man brings me a peace. He knows the word, he studies and I believe that God has a greater calling on his life outside of those jailhouse walls. Since we’ve come back into contact, there’s been so many breaks in his case that can get him freed and lies that witnesses told that they’re being exposed for.

We’ve gotten so strong with our connection to God and with each other. We pray, study the word and we’ll be starting a fast together soon. He’s expressed things to me he doesn’t say to anyone and down in my soul, I feel as if he’s my Boaz and he’s pretty much laid it all out that he believes in his heart that I’m his Ruth. My prayer request is that God brings him home so we can do things the right way. (We’ve both been clear on our feelings for one another before he was incarcerated and since he’s been incarcerated and our feelings are mutual). I already pray on his behalf and I’ve been watching God move in his life, the anger has died down and although you can’t see him physically right now, just by the way he talks, I can tell God is moving in his life. I just need some prayer warriors behind me with this one. Please and thank you very much.
