Dear Lady. Ann:
This is not about me but a co-worker of mine. I noticed she always has bruises on her and I never used to ask. Not because I didn’t already know the answer, but because I didn’t know if it would seem nosey. Well, we started talking more often and I felt it was okay to ask her. When I did, she initially cooked up some lie, so I acted like I believed her. But yesterday, she just broke down at work and told me her husband is physically abusive and he stays drunk. I just don’t know how to help her. What do I do or how do I advise her?
