Dear Lady. Ann:
I am looking for clarity in my situation. I have been dating a man of God for the past 3 months. He has courted me correctly and asked me to be his woman. He has invited me to meet his family and his mother whom I found to be good people. Our children are good together and everything seems great, he encourages me to come to church and attend his bible study, & he talks about marriage. The only problem I am having is he has a female Best friend. I do not agree with men having female friends but I have grown to be understanding. I feel like he puts her before me and always defends her. I feel as though she has no respect for our relationship and feels she knows what’s best for him. I am trying not to sound demanding or controlling but I am not sure how to receive this. His mother and I get along pretty well and she agrees that the Best friend is not what he thinks she is. He will not see what I am saying nor his mother. I have met this woman and my spirit said messy miserable woman. So is this a red flag and I should move on?? I need help, I am feeling heartbroken 😞
