Dear Lady. Ann:
Would you please lift up my relationship with my friend Gary. He’s actually my ex boyfriend – the Lord removed him from my life over 2 years ago. I accepted it, knew it was from God, even though it hurt tremendously. He was a very lukewarm, worldly Christian and it just wasn’t working, no matter how much I wanted it to. I was at peace when we broke up, and did not contact him, found healing and moved forward with my life, a content and happy single woman. But I never stopped praying for him. I prayed for God to break him, so that He and He alone could put him back together – even if I never saw or knew anything about it. That was my consistent prayer.
Gary reached out to me in Feb when both his dog and his granddad died on the same day. He used these specific words: “I broke”, not knowing those were the very words I prayed over him. I knew that was all God, showing me He is at work and changing Gary’s heart. We are back in each other’s lives, talking every day and spending time together. I love him unconditionally and believe that he is the man that God has for me. Please pray that God would bless and protect what He is building between us. Thanks so much!
