Dear Lady. Ann:
So I’ve been divorced for approximately 5 years. Just recently I met a man. (we live in different states but he will be relocating to the state I live in) We started off as friends. We have a lot in common since we’re both divorcees. He stated his interest in dating me. So as time progressed we began to date. We’ve had our normal spats but nothing that we couldn’t work out. Last week he had to go away to a family gathering ( Last Saturday) I knew where and who he was going with. I didn’t hear from him when he should have been back. So I got worried and tried to contact him. Well two days later (Last Monday), he called but I missed the call. He left a voicemail stating what happened, that the family decided to stay for the weekend and that reception was not good and to please call him.
I’ve been calling and texting, no response. I know he’s gotten my messages. Still no response. This is so not his character. However I know that people can fool you. I’ve been devastated. I’ve been praying and asking God to intercede. It’s been a week and still no resolve and the pain is worst. I’m praying and it feels like God is not hearing me. Please keep me in your prayers. I’m just ready to have companionship again.
