I Want To Go See A Man I Just Met 2 Months Ago



Dear Lady. Ann:

My letter might make me sound gullible but I’m just going to give it a shot. I met this guy online, on Facebook to be precise. I commented on a post where I disagreed with an opinion on that post. He started up a conversation and later sent me a message on messenger. I wasn’t really looking for a man, but there was no harm in chatting with a stranger. Well, it turned out he was a very interesting person. I just like how he thinks and talks.

Things have gotten really interesting and he has told me how much he really likes me. I like him too, although it has only been two months since we started talking to each other. He lives in Jamaica and it’d be more difficult to get him to come to see me in the States, so he invited me to come visit me in Jamaica. I love the idea, so I shared it with some of my friends and most of them think I would be a fool to go see someone I have only known for 2 months. They watch too many shows and are so afraid of taking risks. I would take a friend of mine along, but they still think it’s too risky. I wouldn’t want to miss out on real love because I am too scared or listening to my friends. I have booked my flight ticket for my friend and I, but my friends won’t stop discouraging me.

So, I’m throwing it out there. I have taken all the necessary precautions; I have given the address to my hotel to a few of my friends and I am taking a friend along with me. Maybe the things my friends have been saying has gotten to me because I’m beginning to get cold feet. What do you all think? Is there another safety measure I must take before going to see him? I am pretty sure I’m still going to see him, I just need to know how to be safe.
