I was in a 2-year relationship with a good man. He was a responsible man who was faithful to me to the end. Before him, I had only been with men who didn’t know my worth. They would cheat on me and some were abusive. So, my ex was a breath of fresh air. He was almost too good to be true, but I allowed him to love me in the most beautiful way possible and we had some really good time together.
By the second year of our relationship, I met an old friend of mine. He was very adventurous, and he kept pushing me to do things I had never done before. It was just a different kind of vibe. My ex knew I was hanging out with this other guy at first. But in my desire to “have fun” I agreed to go to a party with him and things went wild. There was a lot of drinking, smoking and other stuff going on that night. My friend kept suggesting I try out somethings and I was reluctant at first. I didn’t want to be the boring one, so I went along. We all got really high and we had sex. Its something I had never done before and I don’t know what I was thinking for being there in the first place. I didn’t tell my ex at first, but the guilt was too much. My ex was this amazing man and I felt so undeserving of his love and kindness towards me.
I confessed to my ex and like expected he couldn’t get past it. He felt so hurt by my actions. I have pleaded with him several times, but he says he is still hurt by what I did. I don’t know what else to do to get him to forgive me. I have cut contacts with my friend and I would never make such a move again. I just need my man back, please advise!
