My long-term boyfriend betrayed me. Due to the demands of our jobs, we have been in a long-distance relationship for the most part of our relationship. We have good chemistry between us and I really loved him. We would talk everyday and I could swear he was my soul mate. He knew what to say to me at the right time. There were times I got really lonely, but I felt so blessed to have such an amazing guy, hence why I kept holding on till one of us moved to the other permanently.
We would discuss future plans that would bring us together physically and he assured me he was looking for job opportunities in my state. I never had any reason to doubt him. Although he always avoided the topic of marriage, but I kept telling myself that we will get to it soon.
I recently found out on Facebook that he got engaged to another woman while he was still with me. A mutual friend of ours posted a picture of my boyfriend proposing to another woman. It initially felt like one big mix up. I remember going through his friend list to find other friends that might congratulate him on his engagement. I just needed to be sure I wasn’t hallucinating. Well, I wasn’t. It felt like my world was coming to an end. Later that night, he wrote me his usual messages like nothing had happened. I haven’t responded to his messages yet. I can’t think of the right words. But I do feel like reaching out to his new fiancée. I would love to tell her she is getting married to the devil himself. I believe she deserves to know. Would I be going too far?
