Dear Lady. Ann,
I am 38 and have been single for 5 years. I met my boyfriend three months ago and he seems to be the perfect fit for me. We both want the same things and he is all I really want. He is loving, attentive, wise, sweet to me and we seem to agree on a lot of things. The problem is he lives with his mother. I spoke to him about getting an apartment of his own, but he thinks he shouldn’t be wasting money on an apartment when he can live with his mom for free.
Although he lives in the basement, he spends most of his free time upstairs with his mother. He literally spends more time in his mother’s house than in his basement. I can’t stand it. That’s the only unattractive thing about him. He is very hardworking and could rent his own apartment if he wanted to. How else can I convince him to get his own place as a man should?
